Medicare Coverage

Medicare is a government-provided fee-for-service insurance program intended primarily for seniors.

While standard Medicare offers coverage for a wide variety of services, you may find that a different plan through a separate insurance carrier better fits your needs.

If you are interested in an alternative plan, we can help you find coverage through either Medigap or Medicare Advantage. Both of these plans offer additional support through third-party insurers, and they are required to provide equal or better coverage when compared to regular Medicare.

Medicare Part A covers facility-based care such as hospital visits, emergency room services, hospice, and nursing home care.

Medicare Part B covers traditional outpatient treatments and services, including vaccinations, lab tests, mental health services, outpatient operations, durable medical equipment, and most other medical services not performed in a hospital.

Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage) covers elements of Parts A, B, and sometimes D.

Medicare Part D covers prescription drugs.

Medigap comes through private insurance companies and aims to fill in the “gaps” left in the traditional Medicare coverage.

Common Questions

I'm not tied to any single insurance company, which means I work for you—not them. I can shop multiple carriers to find the best coverage and rates for your specific situation, rather than being limited to one company's products.

There's no cost to you for my services. I'm compensated by the insurance carriers when you enroll in a plan, so you get expert guidance at no extra charge.

I translate insurance jargon into plain language and take time to understand what matters most to you. Instead of overwhelming you with options, I narrow down the choices to what actually fits your needs and budget.

We'll start with a conversation about your needs, budget, and any current coverage. I'll then shop multiple carriers and present you with options that make sense for your situation, explaining the pros and cons of each.

It depends on the type of insurance, but many plans can be set up within days. I'll walk you through the timeline during our initial conversation.

Absolutely. I can review your current coverage to make sure you're getting the best value and aren't paying for things you don't need—or missing protection you do.

We'll talk through your specific situation—your family size, financial obligations, and long-term goals—to determine appropriate coverage levels. I'll make recommendations, but the final decision is always yours. And many policies allow adjustments to made later when needs change.

I'm here to help you through the claims process. While the insurance company handles the claim, I can guide you through the paperwork and advocate on your behalf if issues arise.
